Cooper Tires Expands American Rally Association Contingency

Long-term program highlights program beyond 2019

SPEEDWAY, IND. (October 29, 2018) ~ After a successful 2018 campaign, officials with the American Rally Association are happy to announce the return of Cooper Tire to a growing list of 2019 contingency partners.

The 2019 Cooper Tire Contingency Program will support teams competing in both the ARA National and Regional Championships. The program is available to all competitors who run Cooper M+S Rally Tires on all four wheels of their rally cars. The program will award the top three finishers in each of the five classes at each ARA event with a Cooper M+S Rally Tire package.

“Cooper Tire is proud to be associated with ARA for the second consecutive year,” said Meg Snyder, Rally Program Manager. “In 2018, we launched Cooper brand rally tires in the U.S along with our highly competitive contingency program – both of which received positive feedback. We have taken measures to enhance our program in 2019 and are looking forward to another exciting year on the gravel."

Cooper Tires is also looking at its long-term place in stage rally with the unveiling of the Cooper Cruisers loyalty program. Cooper Cruisers gives contingency teams that compete on Cooper Rally Tires at eight or more races in 2019 a free set of M+S Rally Tires to start their 2020 rally season.

The company will also continue its social media program for national events. Cooper Contingency Teams that participate with a minimum of five social media posts during a national weekend and utilize #TeamCooperTire and tag @TeamCooperTire and @ARA_Rally are eligible. The winner will receive their choice of four Cooper M+S Rally Tires, Passenger Tires or Light Truck Tires.

“Cooper Tires has a great history of investing into long-term partnerships with their sponsorships,” said Kevin Miller, USAC President and CEO. “They not only see our vision for the future success of American Rally, but are active partners in that development.”
