Ken Block FLAT OUT 43VER Award
Shelton, Wash. ~ The legacy Ken Block left behind reaches to every corner of the globe. His commitment and passion for rally racing was unwavering, and his impact was endless.
In the weeks and months following his passing, the 43 Institute was formed, existing to carry on Block’s greatest legacy: creating path of opportunity for the exceptionally driven who may lack the proper support system for growth and success.
Today, the 43 Institute has announced a program that help fulfills that endeavor by supporting worthy competitors at American Rally Association National events for the remainder of the 2023 season:

43 Institute, 43i.org , announces the Ken Block FLAT OUT 43VER Award. An award honoring Ken’s love and ongoing commitment to the sport of rally and the rally community. This award will be given out at each remaining ARA National events of the 2023 season. This award will recognize teams displaying Ken’s just ain’t care attitude, press on regardless mindset, and/or flat out commitment during the event. A committee of appointed members will give their selection for which team should win the Ken Block FLAT OUT 43VER Award to 43i members and 43i will chose the winner. In addition, the driver and co- driver awarded will each receive a prize of $1,430.00.
To explain the spirit of this award we would like to announce the winner of the Ken Block FLAT OUT 43VER Award, presented by 43 Institute, from the 100 Acre Wood Rally:
#237 Micah Nickelson & Tyler Ptacek Placing 4th place Overall in National in a home built O2WD 1986 Volkswagen Golf. This team showed a true flat out approach through the rally and were fully committed in the Ken Block style.
