Duquette, Minnesota ~ The American Rally Association is deeply saddened to confirm the death of competitor and driver Neil Thomas CarlinSchauer yesterday at the Nemadji Forest Rally in northern Minnesota.
The 32-year-old was driving with co-driver Tim Kohlmann at the time of the incident. Kohlmann was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both Minnesota residents, the team had recently competed together at the Ojibwe and LSPR events and Nemadji was their third event in the number 266 Mustang. The event is a regional race on a single road run out and back twice, the incident occurred midway through stage 2 of competition.

Nemadji Rally organizers and ARA officials canceled the remaining stages of the rally.
